As an undergraduate at Wright State University, I participated in a field production project documenting a marine biology course at the Duke University Marine Lab. Our team traveled to the North Carolina coast to capture the story of several student groups as they engaged in hands-on marine research and ecological exploration.
Through interviews, b-roll, and environmental footage, we created a narrative that highlighted the students’ experiences, the challenges of field science, and the unique learning environment of the marine lab. The project deepened my skills in documentary storytelling, on-location shooting, and collaborative media production—while giving voice to the intersection of science and education.
