As a graduate student at the University of Memphis, I developed a conceptual photography series exploring the Seven Deadly Sins through the symbolic lens of a glass chessboard and pieces. Each photograph used composition, lighting, and visual metaphor to represent one of the sins—transforming the strategic, high-stakes world of chess into a reflection of human vice.
This project challenged me to translate abstract themes into visual storytelling, emphasizing contrast, tension, and subtle cues to convey deeper meaning. The result was a minimalist yet evocative series that balanced aesthetic precision with conceptual depth.
